Psychology 493
Undergraduate research provides students with an opportunity to participate in psychological research for course credit. Students work in a professor's laboratory receiving one course credit for every three hours of work conducted in the lab each week. Responsibilities will vary depending on the needs of the professor. Common activities for students earning research credit include helping with experiment design, collecting and analyzing data, presenting findings at local conferences, and publishing results. Undergraduate research is highly recommended to students wishing to pursue a graduate degree in Psychology. Students interested should contact faculty directly about possible openings in their lab.
Many research labs in the NDSU Department of Psychology have dedicated websites. Use the links below for information on the research conducted and the faculty that supervise each lab. Please contact the lab supervisor or use a contact link on a lab website to ask questions about the research conducted at NDSU.
