Drs. Warne and Frizzell have published a peer-reviewed journal titled American Indian Health Policy: Historical Trends and Contemporary Issues. The journal reviews policy history such as the Snyder Act and Transfer Act. Along with information on how the Indian Health Services has been continuously under funded. Information is listed about how the Affordable Care Act (ACA) will affect the AI/AN population.  The Indian Health Care Improvement Act was reauthorized as part of the Patient Protection and ACA which has provisions to allow potential improvement in access to services for AI/AN populations.
