Strand becomes grant Co-PI and elected Section Councilor and

Dr. Mark Strand is now a Co-PI on a $59,580 grant entitled “Road Dusts: Their abatement and impacts on human health.”  Strand's role is to do a review of the literature on the health impacts of dust in the oil patch. 

Dr. Strand was also elected in August as the Section Councilor of the American Public Health Association (APhA) International Health Section. APhA has just adopted a strategic plan to help guide public health leaders in "creating the healthiest nation in one generation". Dr. Strand will be attending the 142nd APhA Annual Meeting in New Orleans this November.
