Department Moves

As of January 2010 and due to the remodeling of Minard Hall, we have moved to temporary quarters. The main office is located in Music 107 just a little southwest of Festival Concert Hall. The faculty have been disbursed to several locations. Please see their profile for exact location.

The Department

The Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Emergency Management offers courses and programs that focus on the study of human behavior in social settings.  The department offers undergraduate majors and minors in anthropology, emergency management, and sociology.  The department faculty also play a key role in the community development and gerontology minors.

At the graduate level, the department offers four different master's degrees:  sociology, anthropology, emergency management, and an online community development degree.  Emergency management and natural resources management (social science option) degrees are offered at the doctoral level.
