Bison Service Challenge (BSC)

The NDSU Bison Service Challenge was created to promote service throughout NDSU. The program is a friendly competition among campus groups including athletic teams, fraternity and sorority life, residence halls, and student organizations. Throughout the year, members in each category compete to complete the most service hours. The hours are submitted to the Volunteer Network. Winning teams receive recognition at the Bison Service Challenge Award Ceremony at the end of each academic year.

In addition to the most service hours completed, additional awards are given to recognize groups in the following categories: Outstanding Service Project of the Year, Outstanding Philanthropy Event of the Year, and Largest Representation at Volunteer Network Events.

For the Bison Service Challenge, volunteer hours completed over the summer and during first semester must be logged in the MYNDSU system.  For help with logging your volunteer hours, contact the Volunteer Network staff at (701) 231-1055, or  ndsu.volunteer@ndsu.edu
