NDSU Transfer Course Equivalencies
The Office of Registration & Records uses Transfer Evaluation System, or TES, to review and document course equivalencies. Both domestic and international courses can be found in the TES database.

Final decisions regarding the transfer of credit and application of credit to majors rest with the NDSU Office of Registration and Records and/or the respective academic departmental offices.

Courses listed in this database have been evaluated by NDSU faculty or staff based on information such as catalog descriptions and course syllabi. This database does not include all courses at respective institutions.
- If a course is not listed, it has not been evaluated.
- All information listed regarding course equivalence is subject to change at any time without notice.
- Courses evaluated as FREE ELECTIVE may be applied to certain major requirements as departmental substitutions.
NOTE: Courses from 2-year institutions marked with an (*) do not count toward the 300-400 level graduation requirement.
Repeating Courses
- If a course is repeated at another accredited institution and an attempt is made to transfer the credit back to NDSU, the course/credit will be considered duplication and will not be accepted in transfer. If students wish to take advantage of the repeated course opportunity to improve a grade then that course must be repeated at NDSU, with one exception only. NDSU students may register for a Tri-College course to repeat a course previously taken at NDSU.
