This comprehensive fact sheet provides information about key services at NDSU for veterans.

Military and Veterans Certification of Benefits, Todd Yackley (701) 231-7985, ndsu.veterans@ndsu.edu
Located in Morrill Hall room 112F, this office certifies military education benefits such as the GI Bill and National Guard Tuition Assistance.  They also assist in cases of activation or deployment affecting NDSU enrollment, and provide other resources regarding education benefits.

Located in Morriill Hall room 112, this program is a free resource funded by the state of North Dakota to help military veterans start or continue their higher education.  VET assistance is available year-round, and study programs are based on each individual's needs. VET offers assistance to veterans enrolled or in the process of enrolling in higher education in North Dakota. 

NDSU Counseling Center

Located at 212 Ceres Hall (701-231-7671), the Counseling Center services are free of charge to students.  In addition to counseling services, this page provides information for returning veterans and their loved ones.

The local VA facility is located at 2101 N. Elm St in Fargo and is known for the high quality of focused care it provides.

Cass County Veteran Services (701) 241-5756
Located in the Cass County Courthouse at 211 9th St S in Fargo, ND.  This agency helps veterans and the survivors of veterans access the benefits and resources available to them. 

Clay County Veteran Services (218) 299-5041
Located at 715 11th St N., Suite 103, in Moorhead, MN. This agency helps veterans and the survivors of veterans access the benefits and resources available to them.

North Dakota Department of Veteran Affairs, Benefits and Services
This site provides expansive coverage of services at the state and federal level related to healthcare, employment, financial matters, education and training, housing assistance, burial and memorial, women and minority veterans, legal assistance, and military, veteran, and family outreach programs.

North Dakota Service Organizations
This site provides information and links for veteran service organizations such as the DAV, American Legion, IAVA, VFW, etc.

This resource page is a compilation of sites and provides resource listings for providers, housing, employment, transportation, health, benefits, suicide, wellness, family and relationships, caregivers, legal, and training and education.

Minnesota Department of Veteran Affairs
This site features a live chat option and provides expansive coverage of services at the state and federal level related to education, employment, health and disability, homelessness, grants, burial and memorial, and other assistance.

Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans
This site provides housing, employment, and legal services.

Due to COVID-19, we didn't have a Veterans Day ceremony on campus in 2020.  Instead, we created this video to honor the service of NDSU's veteran students, faculty, and staff.
