Public Web service
Public Web, or PubWeb, provides hosting services for university departments (business units, operational teams and service lines), Ag Extension and affiliates, individual faculty and staff members, and students organizations with sponsorship of a faculty member.
Accounts are not provided for individual students; however, instructors and work supervisors may request accounts for students to satisfy their NDSU academic or NDSU employment work.
Points to consider in choosing to use PubWeb:
- All NDSU-hosted Web content is required to be accessible to people with disabilities
- Use of PubWeb generally requires specific software (e.g., DreamWeaver) or knowledge of HTML
- Content created by individual users is "uploaded" to the server using a software program (e.g., an sFTP program or DreamWeaver)
