Manufacturing Lab- DOLVE 137

The manufacturing lab was renovated in 2017. We have high quality (South Bend) manual lathes and vertical milling machines available for instruction as well as student and faculty use.

· All students, faculty, or other users who use the machine shop must first go through safety training.

· The machine shop is also utilized for projects in research and development, capstones, senior design, student organizations, and student competition at the national level.

· All IME and Mechanical students are required to take IME 330 - Manufacturing Processes. The lab is held in the machine shop and includes properties of materials, machining, casting, forming, and fabrication techniques.

· Our welding lab is primarily used for instruction during the school year but may also be used for student and faculty undertakings. We have many processes available, stick, mig, tig, and flux core to name a few. Our goal is to provide training, instruction, service and consulting to the NDSU community.
