Hall of Fame inductees announced

NDSU is scheduled to induct its 42nd annual class of new members into the Bison Athletic Hall of Fame and its sixth team into the Hall of Champions on Friday, Oct. 11. The additions bring the number of individuals enshrined to 258.

The newest members are:

  • the 1988 wrestling national championship team
  • Ryan McGlynn, national champion pole vaulter
  • Steve Selk, baseball pitcher and designated hitter
  • Susan Faus, women’s basketball guard and All-America sprinter
  • Jerry Gores, women’s cross country and track and field coach
  • Lloyd Wurm, national champion wrestler
  • Pam Stencel, volleyball All-America setter
  • Ken Clark, football All-America free safety

The induction will take place at the Holiday Inn in Fargo. Lunch will begin at 11 a.m. with the induction ceremonies starting at 11:30 a.m. A limited number of tickets are available from the NDSU athletic department for a cost of $25 per ticket. The group also will be recognized at halftime of NDSU’s Homecoming football game Saturday, Oct. 12, against Missouri State.
