Microelectronics conference scheduled at NDSU

The Viking Chapter of the International Microelectronics Assembly And Packaging Society, known as IMAPS, is scheduled to hold a microelectronics summit Friday, Oct. 18, at NDSU Research 1.

Open to the public, the summit includes speakers from industry and education, poster sessions and tours. Scheduled speakers include:

  • Mark Hoffmeyer, IBM Systems and Technology Group
  • Aaron Reinholz, NDSU Center for Nanoscale Science and Engineering
  • Kristi Jean, North Dakota State College of Science
  • David Batcheller, Appareo Systems
  • Valery Marinov, NDSU associate professor of industrial and manufacturing engineering
  • Om Yadav, NDSU associate professor of industrial and manufacturing engineering
  • Fred Haring, NDSU Center for Nanoscale Science and Engineering

Onsite registration for the event begins at 11 a.m. followed by poster sessions, presentations and tours until concluding at 5:00 p.m.

Co-sponsors of the summit include the Viking Chapter of the society, NDSU, Starkey Hearing Alliance, and the Greater Fargo Moorhead Economic Development Corp.

The society has more than 4,000 members in the United States and more than 4,000 international members. Members of the society represent every discipline in the electronics industry and include both technical and marketing professionals.
