The Phi Kappa Phi honor society is scheduled to welcome new NDSU chapter members at a recognition ceremony Wednesday, Nov. 13, at 5 p.m. in the Memorial Union Great Plains Ballroom. The organization is the oldest and largest collegiate honor society dedicated to the recognition and promotion of academic excellence in all disciplines.

The NDSU chapter, one of the oldest in the nation, was chartered in 1913. Membership in the prestigious society also includes opportunities to apply for scholarships and national fellowships.

New NDSU members will join a distinguished membership of local and national leaders. Phi Kappa Phi members have served in the White House, Congress and on the U.S. Supreme Court. They also have won Nobel and Pulitzer Prizes, and numerous other national and international awards for service and achievement in their chosen fields.
