Lt. Gov. Wrigley to present Pfiffner lecture at NDSU

N.D. Lt. Gov. Drew Wrigley is scheduled to present the second annual Pfiffner Lecture Thursday, Jan. 23, at 2 p.m. in Beckwith Recital Hall at NDSU.

Wrigley will speak on the topic, "Ronald Reagan’s Values: Why You Should Be Involved in Politics." Kjersten Nelson, assistant professor of political science, will respond. Ann Burnett, director of women and gender studies, will lead the discussion. The event is free and open to the public and a reception will follow.

The annual Carl Pfiffner and Jerri Hall Pfiffner Endowed Lecture Series features speakers who have demonstrated support of conservative concepts commonly ascribed to former President Ronald Reagan. The lecture series is sponsored by the NDSU College of Arts Humanities and Social Sciences.

Wrigley was sworn in as the state’s 37th lieutenant governor in 2010, and served as North Dakota’s U.S. attorney from 2001-09. He is a fourth-generation North Dakotan, with family roots in Walsh and Burke Counties.
