NDSU conducts diversity survey

NDSU students, faculty and staff are encouraged to complete an online survey focusing on diversity. The survey will measure progress toward making NDSU a welcoming and inclusive environment for all people.

Surveys conducted in 2003 and 2009 resulted in the development of the NDSU Strategic Plan for Diversity, Equity and Community. The plan recommended the development of a bias reporting system available at www.ndsu.edu/biasreport, creation of the Division of Equity, Diversity and Global Outreach, and increased support services for diverse students, faculty and staff.

This year’s survey was developed by a team of NDSU faculty and staff. The goal is to learn about changes in campus climate during the past 11 years and gather new information about people’s experiences on campus.

The voluntary online Climate Assessment for Diversity is available at www.ndsu.edu/diversity/climatesurvey. It takes about 15 to 20 minutes to complete.

If you have questions, call the Division of Equity, Diversity and Global Outreach at 701-231-7091 or send an email to kara.gravley-stack@ndsu.edu.
