Vice president named to scholarship selection panel

Evie Myers, NDSU vice president for equity, diversity and global outreach was named to the panel that selects Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship recipients.

The program offers scholarships to underrepresented United States undergraduate students. It is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Education and Cultural affairs and administered by the Institute of International Education’s office in Houston.

“This will be a good opportunity to learn about the selection process and be a resource for NDSU students in the future who apply,” Myers said, noting the scholarship also is available for students who are eligible for Pell Grants.

Myers will attend a selection panel meeting regarding the spring applications on April 7 in Houston.

NDSU is recognized as one of the nation's top 108 public and private universities by the Carnegie Commission on Higher Education.
