Theatre NDSU to present 'Why Torture is Wrong and the People Who Love Them'

Theatre NDSU is scheduled to present Christopher Durang's “Why Torture is Wrong and the People Who Love Them,” which opens Thursday, April 24, at the NDSU Walsh Studio Theatre.

Described as absurdist theatre, Durang blunts the edge of what might appear to be gruesomely violent by turning reality into farce.

The play runs April 24-26 and May 1-4; show time is Thursday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and $8 for students.

Tickets are available online at ndsu.edu/performingarts or by calling 701-231-7969. The NDSU Performing Arts Box Office is open 11 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and is located at the Reineke Fine Arts Center.

NDSU is recognized as one of the nation's top 108 public and private universities by the Carnegie Commission on Higher Education.
