Track and field athlete candidate for NCAA Woman of the Year

NDSU track and field All-American Antoinette Goodman has been chosen as The Summit League’s co-representative in the NCAA Woman of the Year selection process.

Goodman earned second team All-America honors in the 1,600-meter relay and honorable mention All-America status in the 200-meter dash at the 2014 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. She captured 16 career Summit League titles, including seven in the 200 dash during the indoor and outdoor seasons.

The NCAA Woman of the Year award honors graduating female student-athletes for their achievements in academics, athletics, community service and leadership.

The Woman of the Year selection committee will select the top 10 honorees in each division. The top 30 honorees will be announced in early September. The selection committee will then chose and announce the top three finalists from each division at the end of September.

The NCAA Committee on Women’s Athletics will determine the 2014 Woman of the Year from the list of nine finalists.

NDSU is recognized as one of the nation’s top 108 public and private universities by the Carnegie Commission on Higher Education.
