Faculty member presents seminar on her native Chile

Berti

Marisol Berti, associate professor of forage and biomass crop production, was the main speaker at the Office of International Student and Study Abroad Services’ World iView program in October.

Berti presented "Chile: Much More Than a Chili Pepper-Looking Land.” She explained the geography, foods and culture of Chile and served samples of typical Chilean foods. She explained the environmental diversity of Chile, noting it is a beautiful country that produces an abundance of crops and natural resources.

Berti grew up in Chile and studied agronomy at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile in Santiago. She earned doctoral and master’s degrees at NDSU. She also taught at the Universidad de Concepción in Chillán, Chile.
