Wolf-Hall named vice provost for academic affairs

Provost Beth Ingram has announced that Charlene E. Wolf-Hall has been named vice provost for academic affairs.

Wolf-Hall is the head of the Department of Veterinary and Microbiological Sciences. She joined NDSU in 1996, and has been assistant dean of the College of Graduate and Interdisciplinary Studies, associate director of the Great Plains Institute of Food Safety, and professor.

“We’re delighted about welcoming Dr. Wolf-Hall to our team,” NDSU Provost Beth Ingram said. “With her experience, she is going to be a tremendous asset in broadening and sustaining excellence in teaching, research, creative activity and service across the university.”

Wolf-Hall holds a doctorate in food science and technology with an emphasis in food microbiology and food toxicology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and master’s and bachelor’s degrees in microbiology from South Dakota State University, Brookings.

Wolf-Hall will take over the role on Jan. 15.
