College of Graduate and Interdisciplinary Studies dean named to national GRE advisory committee

Wittrock

Educational Testing Service named David Wittrock, dean of the College of Graduate and Interdisciplinary Studies, to its Graduate Record Examination Board Services Committee.

The committee is an important component of the GRE program governance structure responsible for reviewing plans and programs related to GRE services, communications and issues that affect the graduate community. The services committee monitors all ongoing GRE operating services, monitors the development of new services or service enhancements  and identifies long-range planning strategies in the development of new services. The committee meets twice per year, with the first meeting held Oct. 8-10 in Philadelphia.

“The opportunity to provide input into the future of the Graduate Record Examination is significant, as it is one prominent tool our programs use to measure student applications,” Wittrock said. “It also validates NDSU’s place among some of the most prestigious universities in the country.”

The committee includes representatives from:

·      The University of Texas at El Paso

·      Drexel University

·      University of Alabama, Birmingham

·      University of California, Los Angeles

·      Memorial University

·      Michigan Technological University

·      University of California, Irvine

·      University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

·      The College at Brockport, State University of New York
