Accreditation visit open forums scheduled

Open forums with peer reviewers from the Higher Learning Commission are scheduled Monday, Oct. 19, in the Memorial Union.

• The faculty open forum is set for 3:10 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Prairie Rose room.

• A forum for students is scheduled for 3:10 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Mandan room.

• The forum for staff is set from 4:40 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Prairie Rose room.

Campus community members are asked to attend and speak openly about NDSU.

The peer reviewers will focus on evidence that NDSU's mission is embodied throughout the campus and the university delivers on the promise of its mission in terms of learning.

The Higher Learning Commission is a regional agency that accredits degree-granting institutions of higher education based in the 19-state north central region of the United States. Institutions that the Commission accredits are evaluated against the Commission's Criteria for Accreditation, a set of standards that institutions must meet to earn and maintain accredited status.

As a student-focused, land-grant, research university, we serve our citizens.

Student Focused. Land Grant. Research University.
