Student-run restaurant set for lumberjack-themed lunch

NDSU’s 800 Café is scheduled to serve a lumberjack-themed lunch Thursday, April 7, and Friday, April 8, in the Food Production Complex on the third floor of the Katherine K. Burgum Family Life Center. Seating will be from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

The menu for the meal is below:

·  Black bean salad, served with a side of avocado.

·  Grilled salmon topped with lemon and pepper.

·  Thyme and oregano roasted asparagus and two slices of grilled rustic garlic bread.

·  Fresh fruit plate served with cinnamon vanilla Greek yogurt dip.

Dietetics students Brittany Twiss and Ashton Wiltgen will manage the meal with the help of their classmates.

The cost is $10 per person and includes beverages. Four-meal punch cards are available for $35. Cash or check are acceptable forms of payment.

Walk-ins are welcomed, but reservations are preferred due to limited seating. The café is open to the public and parking is available in NDSU’s visitor lot.

The 800 Café is operated by NDSU dietetic students and will be open for lunch on Thursdays and Fridays, March 3 through May 6. Sherri Nordstrom Stastny, associate professor of health, nutrition and exercise sciences, is the class instructor.
