Pippa Holloway, professor of history at Middle Tennessee State University, is set to give a public lecture at NDSU Thursday, April 28, at 5 p.m. in STEM building, room 112.

Her presentation, titled "Living in Infamy: Felon Disfranchisement and the History of American Citizenship," is based on her most recent book of the same name.

Holloway is the director of graduate studies for the Middle Tennessee State University history department. Her research interests focus on LGBT history, political history and the modern South.

Her other books include "Other Souths: Diversity and Difference in the U.S. South, Reconstruction to Present" and "Sexuality, Politics and Social Control in Virginia, 1920-1945."

Holloway earned her bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill; master's degree at the University of North Carolina, Greensboro; and doctorate from Ohio State University.
