Christi McGeorge, NDSU professor of human development and family science, was honored by her alma mater, the University of Arizona. McGeorge was selected for the Professional Achievement Award from the University of Arizona Council of Alumni and Friends of the John and Doris Norton School of Family and Consumer Sciences.

The award is presented to an individual who has demonstrated superior performance in their field of endeavor and has made a significant contribution to the well-being of families and consumers. Preference is given to an individual who has received a degree from the University of Arizona in family and consumer sciences.

“We are proud to have Dr. McGeorge in our department,” said Joel Hektner, professor and interim department head of NDSU’s Department of Human Development and Family Science. “This is just one of several awards that she has earned in her career, showing that her work is being recognized far beyond our campus. Our students and colleagues have benefited greatly from her dedication.”

McGeorge is scheduled to receive the award in Tucson, Arizona, on Oct. 28.
