The schedule includes:

• “Open Mic”

Thursday, Feb. 9, 7 p.m.

Memorial Union Thundar’s Den

Attendees are encouraged to showcase their talent. Sign-up begins at 6:30 p.m.

• “The Negro Zone”

Tuesday, Feb. 21, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Family Life Center room 122

The award-winning satirical short film describes a day in the lives of three black males as they deal with racism, stereotypes and prejudice from other black people. A workshop with speaker Atif Lanier follows.

• “The Henrietta Lacks Story”

Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2 p.m.-3 p.m.

Memorial Union Century Theatre

Speakers Katie Reindl, NDSU associate professor of biological sciences, and Sara Anderson, Minnesota State University Moorhead biosciences faculty member, will discuss how cancer cells taken from one African-American woman became integral to medical research.
