NDSU’s Master of Accountancy program was highly ranked by the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy in pass rate for the certified public accounting exam.

NDSU has a certified public accounting pass rate of 81 percent and is among just 27 schools that offer advanced accounting degrees with pass rates above 80 percent. Certified public accounting exam pass rates are based on first-time undergraduate and graduate test takers.

“We have always offered the program with the implicit promise that when students come into the program, we will make it worth their investment,” said Herb Snyder, accounting, finance and information systems department head. “One aspect of this is success in the CPA exam, but we also prepare students to be lifelong learners and successful professionals.”

The National Association of State Boards of Accountancy 2016 proprietary report was released in July with the complete university ranking list.
