NDSU Governor's School Visual Arts Program displays '9:1'

The NDSU Governor’s School Visual Arts Program students have created work for an exhibition, “9:1.” The exhibit will be on display Aug. 20 to Sept. 1, at the NDSU Memorial Union Gallery.

The students used a variety of mediums including two-dimensional and three-dimensional works. The works include prints, digital photography and salt-fired ceramics.

Nathaniel Booth, coordinator of the program, says each student chose a title that highlights their relationships with each other as well as their own individuality.

The exhibit features work by Eryn Anderson, Katherine Johanson and Kellie Kvinslen from Century High School in Bismarck, N.D.; Ian Cross from Central Campus High School in Minot, N.D.; Julie Hieggelke from Lisbon Public High School; Alexandria Kueber from Dakota Prairie High School in Petersburg, N.D.; Mandy Peerboom from Goodrich Public High School; Morgan Peterson from Oakes High School; and Karissa Janvrin from Bowman County High School.

Governor’s School is a six-week residential honors program offered during the summer for motivated students in English, math, visual arts and science technology. For more information, e-mail ndsu.mugallery@live.com or call 1-7900.
