Provost Beth Ingram has been named to the Association of Chief Academic Officers board of directors. Her term runs through March 2021.

“I’m honored to be selected to serve on this board,” Ingram said. “The board supports collaboration among provosts across the spectrum of higher educational institutions, and I’m looking forward to working with a dedicated group of fellow higher education leaders.”

Ingram, a professor of agribusiness and applied economics, earned her bachelor’s degree in economics and mathematics at the University of Iowa and her doctorate in economics from the University of Minnesota. Before joining NDSU, she held several administrative positions at the University of Iowa.

Other board members include Laura E. Neisen de Abruna, York College of Pennsylvania; Kevin Carman, University of Nevada-Reno; Rick Miranda, Colorado State University; Risa Palm, Georgia State University; and Kathy Johnson, IUPUI.

The organization focuses on issues shared throughout academic affairs in higher education, regardless of institutional mission and coordinates its activities with the American Council on Education, known as ACE. It is based in North Palm Beach, Florida.
