NDSU Graduate Research Symposium set for Friday

The Graduate Student Council is set to host the second annual NDSU Graduate Research Symposium on Friday, April 6, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Great Plains Room of the Memorial Union.

There will be a poster session with 37 presentations and 27 oral presentations. Students from all graduate schools and programs were invited to present their research, and a total of 22 departments will be represented.

The research covers a wide range of topics, from “Tuning the Enzyme Adsorption Behavior on Gold Nanoparticles via Surface Modification” to “Coaching Strategies using Aerial Athletic Images” to “Black Bean Flour Quality Affected by the Milling Method.”

"Graduate Student Council's annual research symposium is a great opportunity for graduate students from across NDSU to present their research, while also enhancing their vitas and giving them the chance to win cash awards,” said Amanda Savitt, a member of the Graduate Student Council’s public relations committee. “It's also an opportunity for the NDSU community to find out about the exciting research being done by grad students in a variety of academic fields, from agricultural and biosystems engineering to communication.”

More information is available on the event’s Facebook page.
