NDSU communicators were honored at the National Federation of Press Women awards banquet in San Antonio last month.

The annual NFPW Communications Contest, which provides an opportunity to compete in a wide range of categories, encourages and rewards excellence in communication. Only first place winners of the North Dakota Public Communicators were eligible to enter the national competition. 

Ellen Crawford, information specialist in Agriculture Communication, earned first place in the reports, general report category and an honorary mention in the special articles, agriculture category.

Joel Hagen, staff writer in Publications Services, earned third place in the feature story, internal publication category.

Becky Koch, director of Agriculture Communication, earned first place in the magapaper/tabloid, one to three color category.
