Postdoctoral fellow to present biological sciences seminar

The NDSU Department of Biological Sciences is set to host a seminar by Pamela Puppo, postdoctoral fellow in the department’s Hamilton lab, Friday, Sept. 14, at 3 p.m. in Loftsgard 114.

Her seminar is titled“From Islands to Prairies: Studying the Factors that Influence Plant Diversification Patterns.” Everyone is welcome.

Puppo's research interests are plant evolution and the factors that influence species diversification.

Before joining NDSU, Puppo was a research assistant for the EnvMetaGen project in Porto, Portugal, and a post-graduate associate at the Institute for Integrative Nature Conservation Research at Boku University, Vienna, Austria. 

She earned her bachelor’s degree from the Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina, Lima Peru; master’s degree in plant systematics at University of Missouri-St. Louis; and doctorate in biodiversity at University of Portoand University of Lisbon, Portugal.
