Avian ecologist to speak at NDSU

The NDSU Department of Biological Sciences, along with the Environmental and Conservation Sciences Graduate Program, are set to sponsor a presentation by Thomas E. Martin, assistant unit leader and research scientist at the Montana Cooperative Wildlife Research Unit of the University of Montana, Missoula.

He is scheduled to present “Age-specific Mortality and Offspring Development in Avian Life History Evolution: Insights Gained from Field Studies across the World” on Friday, Oct. 5 at 3 p.m. in Loftsgard 114.

Everyone is welcome. 

Martin’s research focuses on bird breeding biology, and understanding the ecology and evolution of phenotypic traits important to conservation.
