University Distinguished Professor to conduct state book tour

NDSU University Distinguished Professor Tom Isern, author of the acclaimed new book, “Pacing Dakota,” has scheduled a holiday book tour for Dec. 6-9, with appearances in Watford City, Minot, Williston, Bowman and Bismarck, North Dakota. 

Here are the details of the tour stops:

• Thursday, Dec. 6, 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., book talks at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Pioneer Museum of McKenzie County, in the Long X Visitor Center, 100 Second Ave. SW, Watford City

“Pacing Dakota,” published by North Dakota State University Press, is a collection of stories about community and life on the northern plains. The hardback work was published in July and is in its second printing.

People of the region know Isern’s voice from “Plains Folk,” his weekly feature on Prairie Public radio. 

Suzzanne Kelley, editor-in-chief of NDSU Press, will accompany Isern on the book tour.
