NDSU to celebrate International Education Week

NDSU will celebrate International Education week Nov. 16-20. Several events have been planned to teach participants about the international studies major, study abroad opportunities and the striking similarities between sister land-grant institutions in North Dakota and Bolivia. A passport drive also is planned.

International Education Week is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. This joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education is an effort to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn and exchange experiences in the United States.

Events include:

International studies major presentation
Monday, Nov. 16, at 1 p.m. in the Memorial Union Rose room

Passport Drive
Tuesday, Nov. 17, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Memorial Union Prairie Rose room

NDSU Faculty-led Study Abroad Programs presentation
Wednesday, Nov. 18, at 1 p.m. in the Memorial Union Rose room

World I View: " A Visit to a Sister Land-Grant Institution in Bolivia
Thursday, Nov. 19, at 1 p.m. in Memorial Union Century Theater
