Bat researcher to give NDSU presentation

The NDSU Department of Biological Sciences is set to host a seminar by bat researcher Mark Brigham, professor of biology at the University of Regina, Saskatchewan. The Environmental and Conservation Sciences Graduate Program co-sponsors the event.

The seminar, titled “Torpor Use by Insect-Eating Bats: Does Being Worlds Apart Matter?” is scheduled Friday, March 22, at 3 p.m. in Loftsgard 114.

Everyone is welcome.

Brigham’s work focuses on the roosting and feeding ecology of insect-eating bats and nocturnal insectivorous birds. He and his students study how the animals cope with food shortages and environmental constraints.

As a student-focused, land-grant, research university, we serve our citizens.
