Women's History Month film, panel event planned

NDSU's Department of History, Philosophy and Religious Studies and the NDSU Libraries are set to host a free screening of the movie “Suffragette” to celebrate Women's History Month. The film is scheduled to be shown Tuesday, March 26, at 5 p.m. in Minard Hall room 116.

The film traces the suffrage movement in the United Kingdom and the people who fought for women’s right to vote.

A panel discussion is set to follow that will explore the influence on the suffrage movement in the United States.

Scheduled panel participants are:

• Moderator Ashley Baggett, assistant professor of history

• Alison Graham-Bertolini, assistant professor of English

• Ann Braaten, assistant professor and curator of the Emily P. Reynolds Costume Collection
