Three student-athletes placed on Summit League All-Academic Softball Team

NDSU placed three players – first baseman Vanessa Anderson, shortstop Montana DeCamp and catcher Maddie Hansen – on the Summit League All-Academic Softball team released may 29. Anderson was named for the third time, while DeCamp and Hansen each earned their first award.

Anderson, a senior from Rochester, Minnesota, was a Google Cloud Academic All-District 6 first team, all-Summit League first team and all-tournament selection this season. Anderson maintained a 3.95 GPA in exercise science and graduated earlier this month.

DeCamp, a junior from Indianola, Iowa, was an all-Summit League first team selection this season. DeCamp maintains a 3.97 GPA majoring in elementary education. She will be the president of the NDSU Student-Athlete Council next year.

Hansen, a senior from Ely, Iowa, was an NFCA All-Midwest Region second team, all-Summit League first-team and all-tournament selection this season. Hansen maintained a 3.69 GPA in sport management and graduated earlier this month.
