History faculty and doctoral students present research

Three NDSU history doctoral students presented papers at the annual meeting of the Western Social Science Association, April 14-17 in Reno, Nevada.

Andrea Mott presented "Friend or Foe? Efforts to Protect the Wild Horse." Miles Lewis presented "The War on Wheat: County Extension Efforts to Stop Wheat Production in a Central Montana County." Suzzanne Kelly presented "Reading Morven Hills: Stock and Station Agency Records of a Historic Sheep Station in Central Otago" with Tom Isern.

Kelley was reappointed co-coordinator of the Rural Studies Section of the Western Social Science Association. Isern, NDSU Distinguished Professor of History, was installed as vice president of the association.
