Research and Technology Park hosts international researcher

Researcher Mary Chan from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, visited the Center for Nanoscale Science and Engineering and Triton Systems Inc. in the NDSU Technology Incubator July 6 and 7 to discuss innovative research under way in the NDSU Research and Technology Park.

Chan is an associate professor of chemical and biomedical engineering and associate chair of research and postgraduate studies. Her research areas include carbon nanotubes, printed electronics, conductive polymers, tissue engineering, biomaterials and organic light emitting diodes.

According to Philip Boudjouk, vice president for research, creative activities and technology transfer, Triton Systems Inc. assisted in arranging the visit. “NDSU’s scientific research capabilities continue to gain visibility through such discussions with international researchers,” Boudjouk said. “Such interaction enables the exchange of information, thereby allowing research groups elsewhere in the world to see the caliber of scientific work conducted on this campus. It also provides our research groups an opportunity to interact with other scientists with international expertise in their fields.”
