Fulbright reception to be held at NDSU

The Office of Equity, Diversity, and Global Outreach will hold the first annual reception honoring Fulbright scholars and students at NDSU on Thursday, Nov. 18, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Memorial Union Prairie Rose room. The reception will include a program and refreshments. Everyone is invited.

The J. William Fulbright Program offers grants to students, teachers, scholars and professionals from the U.S. and abroad for the purpose of mutual cultural exchange and promotion of international good will. The Fulbright Program is the most prestigious international exchange program in the world, with heads of state, Nobel Prize winners and Olympic gold medalists among its ranks.

Eleven current NDSU faculty and staff members have participated in the Fulbright program. During the past 10 years, seven NDSU students have been selected for Fulbright grants. The university also has hosted visiting professors as Fulbright scholars and received international students through the program.
