John Miller, director of the Division of Fine Arts, and Bill Law, assistant director of the Division of Fine Arts, will present a lecture during the National Association of Schools of Music annual meeting in Boston, Mass., Nov. 20-23. They will lead the session, “Assorted Nuts and Bolts for the Department Administration,” which will focus on strategies and utilities that can help deal with administrative issues in a music department. Topics discussed will include faculty load calculation models, fundraising basics, software help, forging effective relationships with faculty and staff, marketing the music unit and changing curriculum.
