NDSU provost search moves ahead

North Dakota State University’s provost search committee selected 11 potential candidates for a university provost on Feb. 9.

 

Two-member teams will check the listed references for:

 

Howard Grimes, vice president for research and dean of the graduate school at Washington State University;

 

Priscilla Nelson, professor of civil and environmental engineering at New Jersey Institute of Technology,; formerly provost and senior vice president of academic affairs at NJIT;

 

Bruce Rafert, vice provost and dean of the graduate school at Clemson University;

 

Bradley Fenwick, professor in the Department of Pathobiology at University of Tennessee,; formerly vice chancellor of research and engagement at UT;

 

Mark Pagano, dean of University Continuing Education and Conferences at Purdue University;

 

Cheryl Schrader, dean of the College of Engineering at Boise State University;

 

Vish Prasad, vice president for research at University of North Texas;

 

Cameron Hackney, dean of the Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design at West Virginia University;

 

Edward Jarroll, professor of biology and dean of Natural and Social Sciences at Lehman College-CUNY;

 

Michael Gealt, dean of College of Science and Mathematics at University of Arkansas at Little Rock;

 

Inessa Levi, former provost and vice president for academic affairs at Columbus State University.

 

The committee will meet on Feb. 23 to discuss the reference checks and decide on up to eight candidates to bring for off-site interviews. Those interviews will be held on March 5 and 6 at the Ramada Plaza Suites in Fargo.
