Online graduate programs: Merchandising

A master’s degree from NDSU gives students what they need to reach their career goals. We offer a variety of programs for professionals who want to advance their career while continuing to work full time.

“You don’t have to put the rest of your life on hold to obtain your second degree,” said Amanda Levin, who is pursuing a master’s degree in merchandising. “At NDSU, you can expand your knowledge while focusing on your personal life as well.”

Students in the online merchandising program learn about current trends as well as the future of the industry. Classes are intended to supplement students’ knowledge and experience in areas like product development, promotions and research.

“NDSU is able to give me a wide spectrum of classes that support my interest in the fashion and merchandising industry,” Levin said.

In addition to learning about the industry, students create relationships with peers and professors who work in a variety of roles across the country. The program fosters a unique learning environment that encourages collaboration.

“I really enjoy how interactive the classes are,” Levin said. “It allows students to discuss our experiences and perspectives which helps us learn from each other.”

NDSU’s master’s in merchandising is offered through the Great Plains Interactive Distance Education Alliance.
