With 14 online graduate programs, NDSU is allowing more students than ever the opportunity to pursue continued education.

Shannon Kaiser, a student in the Master of Public Health program, works full time in local public health in central North Dakota. The classes are offered both on campus and through distance education. Distance classes are taught through interactive video network, which allows students to engage with professors and classmates despite not being on campus.

“I wouldn’t be able to get my degree if it wasn’t for NDSU offering an online option,” Kaiser said. 

The program is interdisciplinary and allows students to expand their knowledge of a variety of areas within the field. Students can specialize in Community Health Sciences, Food Safety or Management of Infectious Diseases. 

“NDSU’s MPH program is equipping me with skills to grow my career, and the knowledge to continue serving my community directly,” Kaiser said.

The program has solidified her passion for public health and prevention, she said. A master’s in public health will allow her to make a greater impact in her current position.

“My experience with NDSU’s coursework, students and professors has challenged my worldview and grown my passion for the work I do every day,” she said.
