Online graduate programs: Leadership in physical education and sport

A master’s degree in health, nutrition and exercise science helps professionals advance their career while expanding their knowledge of their industry.

The leadership in physical education and sport option prepares teachers and coaches to become leaders in their field. The entire curriculum is delivered online through distance learning which allows flexibility for working professionals.

“As a full-time teacher and coach with a family, being able to achieve my degree online was very important,” said master’s student Brent Nelson. “The pace of the classes is also great for people who work and have other commitments.”

Courses build on students’ experience by employing case study and project-based assignments. Students discuss course content online and then apply their knowledge through projects relevant to their work.

“NDSU’s program aligns perfectly with my career,” Nelson said. “It has allowed me to practice next-level thinking and apply leadership strategies in my work.”
