800 Café to host 'Spring into Summer' meal

The student-run 800 Café is set to feature a “Spring into Summer” meal on Friday, April 3, in room 312 of the Katherine K. Burgum Family Life Center.

The three-course menu begins with a summer squash soup with a Greek yogurt, red bell pepper and basil garnish. The main course will be cinnamon rosemary chicken with sides of honey and balsamic roasted Brussel sprouts and apricot brown rice stuffing. The meal will finish with a carrot cake topped with a cinnamon Greek yogurt frosting.

The meal is managed by dietetics students Caitlin Hexum and Maddie Deane.

Seating begins at 11 a.m. and the last seating is at 12:15 p.m.

The meal costs $10 per person, with beverages included. Four meals can be purchased at the price of a $35 punch card. Due to limited seating, reservations are preferred but walk-ins are accepted when seats are open. Parking is available in the campus visitor lot.

Operated by NDSU dietetics students, the 800 Café gets its name due to the menu being 800 calories or fewer. The food is prepared from scratch and made solely by the students.

To make reservations, contact nancy.moberg@ndsu.edu or call 701-231-7474. Please note any allergies or food intolerances while making reservation.
