Professor to contribute to History Lecture Series

Timothy Kloberdanz, emeritus professor of anthropology and folklore, will present the next lecture in a History Lecture Series presented by the Historical and Cultural Society of Clay County at the Hjemkomst Center. Kloberdanz will discuss Germans from Russia on Saturday, April 30, at 2 p.m. in the Hjemkomst Center ship gallery theatre. Koberdanz and Troyd A. Geist also will be available to sign their book, “Sundogs and Sunflowers,” at 3:15 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

The Historical and Cultural Society of Clay County at the Hjemkomst Center’s History Lecture Series has been held select Saturdays since January and will continue through May at the Hjemkomst Center museum. Each lecture focuses on different topics surrounding immigration, including German-Jewish and Mexican immigration, Germans from Russia and more.
