Administrative Professionals Day presentation scheduled

In recognition of Administrative Professionals Day, NDSU Distance and Continuing Education and Patty Corwin will present “Emotional Intelligence & A Balanced Life,” and “How to Handle Change with Humor” on April 27 from 10 a.m. to noon at the NDSU Alumni Center Reimers Room. Breakfast will be offered from 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the same room. The event is open to the public.

Corwin will discuss emotional intelligence and how the way change is handled affects success levels and the ease goals are achieved. The presentation will teach how to: 

• Make decisions and motivate others

• Build and sustain trusting relationships

• Increase energy and effectiveness under stress

• Identify the most important characteristic of the best managers

• Make anyone feel visible in three quick steps

• Understand emotional intelligence and balance

• Deal with rapid social change by knowing the causes, consequences and cures

• Use humor to successfully navigate change

• Make change your friend
