Tri-College program receives $6,000 Otto Bremer Foundation Grant

The Tri-College NEW Leadership Development Institute, a women’s leadership program focused on empowering a new generation of women leaders, was recently awarded the Otto Bremer Foundation Grant. The $6,000 grant will be used to help fund the 2011 Tri-College NEW Leadership Development Institute.

The Tri-College NEW Leadership Development Institute is designed to provide leadership training, inspiration and support for women who do not have extensive leadership experience. Each year approximately 50 women attend the five-day program aimed at promoting public and community leadership among women of diverse backgrounds who reside in the Upper Midwest.

The mission of the Otto Bremer Foundation is to assist people in achieving full economic, civic and social participation in and for the betterment of their communities.

The 2011 Tri-College NEW Leadership Development Institute will take place June 1-5 at NDSU. For information, contact Deborah White, institute coordinator, at (218) 477-2041 or whitede@mnstate.edu , or visit www.tri-college.org/new_leadership_institute/.
