NDSU student-athlete named to men's golf academic team

NDSU’s Andrew Israelson has been named to The Summit League Men's Golf Academic All-League Team for the third straight season. The award recognizes those student-athletes that excelled both on the course and in the classroom this season.

Israelson is a finance major and one of the top golfers in program history. He ranks second in NDSU history with a 73.16 career scoring average and fifth in program history with a .735 career winning percentage. He has 20 career top-10 finishes in 36 events, including tying for the lead at the 2019 Summit League Championship.

Student-athletes are nominated by their respective sports information directors and then voted on by a panel composed of faculty athletics representatives from each university and sports information directors. In order to be considered for the academic all-league golf team, a student-athlete: must have at least a 3.3 cumulative career grade-point average; must have completed at least one full academic year at the current institution; and must have participated in 50 percent of their team's completed competitions.
